| BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN DENTAL HYGIENE DEGREE COMPLETION PROGRAM
(ONLINE)
All students must complete 123 credit hours to earn the B.S. degree. The BS. Program Director will evaluate applicant’s transcripts to determine the number of credit hours required to complete the degree. Registered Dental Hygienists who are not graduates of the UT Health Science Center entry-level program are required to take a minimum of 30 semester credit hours to earn the bachelor’s degree. |

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN DENTAL HYGIENE DEGREE PROGRAM
Graduate students are required to complete six core courses, as well as conduct and defend her/his thesis research. Each student may select from a list of Dental Hygiene, Dental School, or Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Selective courses to complete her or his curriculum plan. Graduation requires the successful completion of a minimum of 36 semester credit hours, including the thesis. Students may enroll as full- or part-time students and have a maximum of six years to complete the graduate study. An extension of the six-year maximum may be granted under unusual circumstances, if recommended by the Committee on Graduate Studies for Dental Hygiene and approved by the Dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
