Students who successfully complete a certificate or degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Cytogenetics are eligible to take the national certification examinations given by the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Awarding of the degree or certificate is not contingent on passing an external certification or licensing examination.
