• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other closely related discipline
• 50 semester credit hours of program prerequisite courses
• Overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (on a 4-point scale)

Designed for students who hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution. Science requirements not completed as a part of the bachelor's degree may be taken as a part of the certificate curriculum. Certificate students may begin classes in the fall or spring semester.

ADMISSION WAITING LIST POLICY

In the event that all positions in the CLS program are filled for a given semester (Fall or Spring), qualified applicants may be accepted and placed on a waiting list.  Applicants will be ranked based on overall GPA and US citizenship.  If a position does not become available in that semester, the applicant’s acceptance to the CLS program will be deferred to the next semester (Spring or Fall).  These applicants will have priority standing for positions in the next entering class.
